WILD PROFILE: JOSE DURAN – LET’S ALL BE FREE!

Hi peeps! Here's a little gift. Last week, as you might know, i was in Santo Domingo for Dominicana Moda 2011 and LOVED Jose Duran  show. So, i decided to do an interview for The Wild Magazine. You can see a bit of what he said to me.

What he thinks there is too much of, and too little of: There is too much of the same. Right now, it’s like everyone wants to be everyone else. We need to find out who we are and just be ourselves. It’s what makes us stand out, being different, individuals, human beings.

What he would do if he was the president: I would let everybody be free. It would be chaotic, but that’s fun, right? It’s not always about the future, maybe we can find our answers going back 1000 years and maybe stay that way for to see what happens, what I can use to save the world. But, my slogan would be “Let’s all be free!”

What kind of movement he would like to start: A more loose and non-structure one. Once, I read that there is a certain edgy bravado emerge in my work. I think that my movement would be enigmatic, relevant taking great things from the past to make them contemporary. These things will be on top of this foundation: stay true to a history more than a type of person you want to dress.
